SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION

The manufacturers and suppliers that EKULF works with are mainly located in Europe and are ISO/GMP – certified or have their own quality policy to ensure manufacturing safety.

We are meticulous with quality and manufacturing processes and have high quality requirements for our partners regarding everything from production and finished products to how our marketing/advertising is communicated towards our customers. Visits to sub-suppliers/manufacturers and logistic partners take place regularly to ensure consistent quality in raw materials, production and that health and environmental requirements are followed.

The above-mentioned requirements apply to the entire chain from production to consumer. Consequently, EKULF has chosen not to work with other external manufacturers who do not meet the requirements.

PRODUCT QUALITY WORK

We are, and will always be, very careful that our products maintain a high quality. This applies to the existing range of products as well as new product launches. Before introducing and launching a new product, we do a thorough test and quality assurance that follows the rules that are set within the European Union or special rules that only apply in Sweden.

We constantly make sure to continuously check all ingredients and production details/specifications based on the ISO requirements and environmental requirements that we have set up. To enable traceability of the raw materials, EKULF uses batch numbers and expiry dates.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORK

Already when EKULF was founded in 1969, we wrote into our business idea that we would work in harmony with the environment. We always make sure to follow the rules and laws regarding environmental impact both within the European Union and in Sweden. We are also constantly working to reduce the company’s direct and indirect environmental impact.

When it comes to manufacturing oral care products, we choose plastics and other materials that have the lowest possible impact on the environment and where the material can in some cases also be reused. All our products and packaging are recyclable, and we manage our waste safely by following the regulations set within the European Union for plastics/chemicals/cardboard and various metals.

SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Our employees are ensured a safe and healthy working environment. We comply with applicable laws and regulations regarding work environment and working conditions. The prerequisite for a safe working environment is that we have an alcohol- and drug-free workplace. No form of alcohol or drug use during working hours is accepted. Employees are also offered one wellness hour each week as well as a financial contribution for approved physical activities.

We value and respect different cultural backgrounds and traditions. Our employees are assessed and treated based on the individual’s ability and qualifications and performed work, not based on personal traits or beliefs. We treat all employees with respect and dignity. No employee may under any circumstances be subjected to corporal punishment or other forms of physical, psychological, sexual harassment or coercion in any form whatsoever. We take distance from all forms of discrimination.

Forced, involuntary or unpaid work is not accepted in any form. No one may be detained at work for any length of time against his/her will. Deductions in salary may not be made as a disciplinary sanction if this is not regulated in a collective agreement or is approved by law. Child labor does not occur in any form. Here we follow the union rules that are set regarding the employee’s age and salary. We ensure that all employees have wages and working hours according to national laws and agreements. We have employment certificates for all employees in the company and respect the employee’s right to collective wage negotiation.

ECONOMY

EKULF AB has been AAA-certified for at least 10 years and has UC 5 (the banks’ information center) with a risk class of less than 0.03%, which is the lowest risk percentage that can be achieved. This means that it is safe and secure to both cooperate with and shop at EKULF.
